What I liked

I liked the way that in the emergency department i was told exactly what was going on and what the next stage of treatment was. Even in the X-RAY department i was treated with high standards of care.

What could be improved

The waiting time for a bed on the lung assesment ward was rather long. i was sent to 2 diffrent wards before finaly getting a bed on LAU. the waiting times need working on and better comunication from one department to anither also needs to be better. After being moved from MAU to CDU no one had informed them of the tests i had for MRSA screening and had them repeated like 4 times. at least they knew i never had it. Still i would rather have only had the standard single test as having swabs in the groin isnt very pleasent on a mixed ward.

Anything else?

i would definatly recomend the LAU staff to anyone. even though waiting times where long, the staff there treated me with respect. the a+e staff dont get enough credit and i cant thank them enough for there fantastic efforts to save my lung, thankfully it worked.
