I have been under the came of the school nursing service for a while now and my nurse was Bev from Mill Hill. I was referred to her by pastoral lead at King James High school.
I had a lot of things going on at home and I had started to feel alone. I started to lose contact with my friends and became isolated.
Bev came to see me in School and she spoke to me in such a calm and reassuring voice that I felt a small weight had started to lift of my shoulders. Bev gave me some ideas how to change things that were going on in my life and said that the only person who can make thing work for me is myself and she was right.
I sat down at home and spoke with my parents for the first time in months and now we spend every Friday evening as family time. I have also spoken with my friends and we are now getting better on with each other because if there is a problem we talk about it.
I would like to say a great big thank you to Bev for everything she has done for me. She is the best school nurse I have ever seen and I have seen a number of school nurse in past school.
