"My experience in ward 38 and 39"

About: Leeds General Infirmary / Plastic surgery

(as the patient),

I have been recently been discharged from these two wards, I am very disassisfied with the whole admission and feel like I've not been treated with any dignity or respect for the most and been made to feel like I'm nothing but a pain and discharged with no real thought to how I am going to manage at home even though I live on my own.

I have been left in pain for many hours waiting for medication, I have been left unable to do things at home as I have hardly any use of my right arm, ( with comment passed that I have my other arm to use).

There are many things that I could write on her as to my bad experiences on both wards but since I only have 1 arm and this has taken me an hour to write I would appreciate a response because I'm currently sat here out of breath, something once again that I mentioned that my oxygen levels kept dropping leaving me like this but for the last 2 days wasn't looked at.

One absolutely appalled disgruntled patient.

I am very sorry to read that you feel you had such a poor experience and that the care you received did not meet your standards whilst you were an inpatient on both wards 38 and 39.

Unfortunately there is not enough information in your post to allow us to look into the matters you have raised therefore I would ask that you contact our Trust’s Patient Advise and Liaison Service (PALS).

This would also allow us to look into the matters you have raised more thoroughly and also to see what lessons we could learn from your experience.
