I frequently take my mother to the anticoagulant clinic, the system is disorganized, after she has had her finger pricked and her blood count given, she is then told to go into another room right next door for another appointment..however EVERYONE that has had there blood taken is also told to be in this room, so EVERYONE listens to what the nurse is saying to the patient before them,
NO PRIVACY..
My mothers blood has been rather low for a few weeks to our visits have been quite regular, my mother suffers from short term memory loss and on two occasions has been advised to change her medication, the staff have no time to explain, and take it upon themselves that patients like my mother fully understand.
i would like to be reassured that this can be looked into when there is another room situated next door with a curtain [this room is always empty] where a patient can be taken if they need to be examined, and this will allow this most needed clinic to run efficiently, and give patients there most need privacy.
"no privacy"
