Unfortunately for me, I was referred to the Maudsley by my GP for ADHD... It took them 6 months to get my consultation, in which I was treated like I didn't know what I was talking about (apparently I didn't know which medication was right for me, even though I was on it for 3 years)
Was then fobbed off back to my GP with the wrong medication, to which my GP rightly disagreed with, and he has written a letter to them reccomending my original prescription. I'm not holding my breath as it will probably take them another 6 months to reply.
Just another typical NHS mental health hospital with, in my experience, no real interest in actually helping patients... when I finally got my consultation, the attitude I picked up in was: **just get em out as soon as possible**
