I post on behalf of my husband.
Hardly ever get Parkinsons medication on time.
Some of the staff seemed to understand a bit about the importance of getting the medication on time, but there was not real understanding by most. I was never sure the right doses were given and at first knew they were incorrect. Some tablets were missing.
I was not able to manage my own Parkinsons medication as it was locked away in a safe. When admitted, I gave a copy of my schedule to the nurse for times and doses – she didn’t look at it, but said everything was on a screen – it was incorrect.
On return home the wrong information was sent to the doctor about medication – I noticed and chased it up.
"Staff didnt see the importance of correctly timed medication"
