"Copy of thank you letter sent to Northern General Hospital"

About: Northern General Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

This thank you letter has been sent to and acknowledged by the trust and the consultant. There is no need to do this again.

Letter sent following hernia operation.

Dear Mr. Cash,

I would like to express to you my gratitude to the staff in the Bev Stokes Day Surgery Unit at NGH.

I had course to need treatment at the above unit for a hernia repair. My first visit to the NGH for a diagnostic examination was on the 23 Feb 2007. There it was confirmed that I did have an hernia and an operation was needed to repair it.

I was sent straight through to the Bev Stokes unit where I was given a date for surgery of the 23 March 2007, Just 4 weeks to wait.

From start to finish my treatment was first class. The ladies on reception were pleasant and helpful; the nursing team were attentive and helped put me at ease.

My consultant, Mr. Raftery, explained the treatment prior to the surgery and visited me afterwards in the recovery unit. Whilst in the recovery area I was looked after by various nurses, all of whom were considerate and professional at all times.

I feel that it is just as important for you to know when things are being done well as it is for you to know when things go wrong.

So please pass this letter to the appropriate people so that they are made aware of my gratitude towards them.
