"Appalling lack of empathy from consultant."

About: The Royal London Hospital For Integrated Medicine

I had a consultation with my consultant this week and was very concerned by what appeared to be a total lack of empathy on their behalf. This doctor did not greet me in a friendly manner and came across as cold and adversarial. I consequently brought the consultation to an end after what can only be described as an interrogation.

I consider myself to be reasonably thick-skinned but nonetheless was quite disturbed by this doctor's behaviour. I'm bringing this to light as I wouldn't like someone of a more sensitive disposition to be seriously upset by them.

It is high time this consultant had some patient empathy training. Tyrannical behaviour from medical staff is thankfully no longer the norm and is totally unacceptable.

Please be warned and ask for another consultant.
