"X-ray results"

About: West Cornwall Hospital (Penzance)

I had had an extremely severe fall on my face while on holiday which resulted in the loss of at least 1/3rd pint of blood.

My face and nose were extremely tender on my return so a doctor in my surgery sent me for an X-ray.

So far, so good.

When I then went for the initial results of the X-ray I was told I should not have had an X-ray as "X-rays are dangerous and you didn't need one".

"Who sent you. I will complain to them".

"You have cost the NHS money".

I was mortified.

A week on and my face is still tender and I need to go to the Optician as my glasses no longer stay on my nose as my nose has definitely changed shape.

This is not the first time I've had problems at West Cornwall.

It's the 3rd time.

I've only been there 4 times, once for an operation, once to take a 94 year old there and on both those occasions there were major problems.

The 4th was quite straight forward.

I have no confidence in West Cornwall.
