"Ward 27 of BRI"

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary

I went to Bradford Royal infirmary on Wednesday 7th October. While the surgery itself was good the post surgery experience was horrendous, miscommunication between doctors and nurses meant that my pain medication prescribed was highly inadequate and the time taken to resolve this problem extremely upsetting. I had two plates a pin and a screw inserted in my arm so as you can imagine when the nerve block wore off i was in veritable agony. i received no tell of when i would get stronger medication as well as having my help buzzer ignored and after requesting food on multiple occasions and being told it was coming only for it to never arrive. I was in the most discomfort i had ever been in and consider it one of the worst experiences i have ever been through. i felt uncared for and am thoroughly disappointed in the service

This is not the service we expect to provide, please accept my sincere apologies for your experience. The matron from the area would be happy to discuss your concerns, please contact the PALS department on 01274 364021, they will be able to put you in touch with the matron.

You can also email pals@bthft.nhs.uk. Thank you.
