On the 17th August 2015 I had an operation to remove a tumour from my inner ear. The care and attention I received was second to none. I was very worried but everyone I had contact with very kind and put my mind at rest. My initial appointment was with the consultant and nurse who explained the operation and were also very re-assuring as was a member of staff at my pre admission assessment.
I met the consultant on the morning of the operation along with the anaesthetist who both explained the procedure. I was on ward D6 after the operation and again the care and attention I received was excellent. My operation was a complete success thanks to the exceptional skill of the consultants and all 'The Team'. I have been home 7 weeks and now just waiting for my post operative appointment and hopefully get a chance to say 'thank you' again to the staff at Addenbrooke,s.
