"poor after care"

About: Harbour Hospital

this is the first time I had paid for my treatment and I was lead to believe as I was paying nearly £5k this would have brought a good in care and after care. My room had plaster off the wall and soap stains down another. Outside my window workmen were removing boards and generally could see right into my room. I was stunned that I was to walk down to theatre where I could see another patients feet in a recovery room. After my op I was told by a nurse I would be checked up on in the night...I wasn't. I was woken the next day at 6.30 offering me a tea..this never materialised until a new nurse came on shift at 7.40. They brought me in some toast but as I had just had my gall bladder removed I knew I was still to take omeprazole ...therefore this was given to me and I had to wait 30minutes to eat my then stone cold toast. Since returning home now 5 days I have no call from any nurse...I can not fault my surgeon but other than that I wouldn't recommend this hospital.
