"Toddler's first time in hospital"

About: Cumberland Infirmary

This afternoon my son, recently turned 3 was referred to the hospital from a doctor due to his symptoms.

The symptoms and result are not the reason for the review, but for completeness he had a temperature and developed a joint issue as a result

The reason for review: the staff were first class. I have never left a review such as this before but feel I need to on this occassion. From the nurse through to the consultant the sensitivity, communication, compassion and care taken was by far and away the best I have experienced in any hospital or medical care. (and I have private medical with my job).

I unfortunatley cant name them all however they were working in paedeatrics late afternoon/early evening thursday.

Thank-you all for making my childs potentially stressful time more like an adventure

Andy

Andy,

Thank you for taking the time to post these lovely comments. I can really appreciate how concerned you will have been to realise your son was to come into hospital. The staff work really hard to make all patients and their family feel at ease when they are in the hospital and to hear that this was from all the team is particularly lovely to read. Your comment have been passed to the staff and they want to thank you to.

I hope your son has recovered well

Many thanks

Helen
