"GAU Experience"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

I spent the night on the GAU after keyhole surgery in October 2015. The nursing staff were absolutely outstanding and I couldn't have asked for better care. Nothing was too much trouble, they responded quickly and I felt looked after and cared for at a very difficult and sensitive time. Despite being an emergency admissions unit, the ward was quiet and well run- all staff are a credit to the hospital. Two nurses in particular were fantastic.
