"Total laparoscopic hysterectomy"

I am currently recovering from a total laparoscopic hysterectomy performed at Musgrove Park Hospital on 21st September 2015. This has been the culmination of 9 years of monitoring and treatment at the GRACE Centre and the Colposcopy Unit and I have been immensely impressed by the care I've received throughout. Staff have always been available to answer questions and allay fears. Treatment options have been clearly explained and discussed so that I have always been confident in the action being taken.

I am indebted to the Specialist Nurse who originally discovered that there was a problem and to all the nurses and doctors who have treated me. My surgeon is evidently a very skilled surgeon and also compassionate, phoning me to give me the pathology results as soon as they had them so I didn't have to wait or worry any longer than necessary.

Finally, my stays on Hestercome and Montacute Wards exceeded my expectations. Having a room to myself with en suite bathroom was superb and the staff who attended to me were friendly and caring.
