"Outstanding care in Coronary Care"

I was admitted after suffering a heart attack which came as a massive shock as a previously fit and healthy 41 year old. It happened on holiday so the first day my children and husband were with me too but staff were as accomodating at possible and looked after all of us until my children were able to be collected by another family member. I was on the ward for 4 days, possibly the worst 4 days of my life. I cannot praise the staff there highly enough. The care was outstanding. Not only was I given a thorough range of tests, possibly above and beyond what I might have received elsewhere, but staff were compassionate and caring. It was the level of care that you would want for those you love God forbid something bad happened to them. Thank you so much.

Dear Sarah,

I am conscious of how frightening it must have been to learn that you'd had a heart attack, especially when you were on holiday and away from all things familiar.

I am glad that our coronary care team looked after you and your family so well and that they were able to support you through this very difficult time. This specialist support 7 days a week is exactly what our new hospital is designed to provide - it's lovely to hear that it is exactly the kind of care you would want for those closest to you.

I hope that things are going well now that you are back home - still a lot to get your head around I'm sure ? Please don't hesitate to come back to us if there is anything you need in terms of information or support.
