About: New Victoria Hospital (Glasgow) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / General surgery (Wards 9a, 9b, 9c & 9d)

(as the patient),

I went to my GP Dr Irelend, Newton Mearns with an issue of a growth on my nose.

Referred to New Victoria hospital and met Consultant.

Referred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Glasgow.

Met neuro surgical consultant, Mr McMahon.

Surgery within two weeks.

Surgeon and nursing staff excellent.

Post op' visit superb with some sutures removed by wonderful nurse(who is from Clarkston).

2nd post op' visit to see Consultant Mr McMahon 2 days later.

All remaining sutures removed.

Thank you to all NHS staff from GP throughout to end of visits. Everyone made me feel relaxed, comfortable and explained in detail every procedure before, during and after.

Next visit is 6 Months time with Consultant to look at how well the surgery area of my face has healed.

Again, well done to all involved. 👍

I work in a small team in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde which seeks to involve patients and carers in the work of the NHS. The biggest part of my role is in managing feedback projects across the Board area, one of which is Patient Opinion. It is my job to give our patients and carers the opportunity to give us feedback, and to make sure that this is passed to the right people to help us improve the services we provide.
