(as a relative),

I am writing this on behalf of my mum who was attending the Glasgow Royal Infrimary Same Day Admission Ward with a friend. My Mum had a fall while at the ward today and she has asked me on behalf of her to say how much she appreciated the way the staff came to her aid after falling and for the staff at the A & E unit also I am very thankfull of the care I had during the few hours at the hospital. My neurological illness seemed to have got worse today but I am greatful for the help and care I got after my unsuspcted fall and badly bruising my face

I work in a small team in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde which seeks to involve patients and carers in the work of the NHS. The biggest part of my role is in managing feedback projects across the Board area, one of which is Patient Opinion. It is my job to give our patients and carers the opportunity to give us feedback, and to make sure that this is passed to the right people to help us improve the services we provide.

Dear waterloo,

I hope you and your mum are both doing ok after your falls and the bumps and bruises heal up quickly. Over and above any physical injuries, often the shock of a fall can be quite scary, so having people respond quickly to you and feeling well cared for by them, is really important. I'm glad that all of the staff that you both encountered were so helpful and caring to you both and I look forward to passing on your kind comments to the department.
