"My experience with my child in the Day surgery"

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

I had not realised what an scary and emotional experience It would be taking my child in for what might be considered a minor operation. Now that it is over I have had time to reflect on my experience at the day surgery, and from the reception to the consultant I was made to feel important and they understood my feelings. The way my child was looked after and cared for was absolutely fantastic right from the moment of arrival to ensuring my child was safely back in the car ready for home. Everyone and I mean everyone were caring and understanding, my experience of the NHS is very limited but based on my experience at the day surgery I can only commend the service given.

Thank you to all the staff who were present on Wednesday 7 October 2015 for keeping my little boy safe.
