"Endoscopy without sedation"

Visited the endoscopy unit today after a referral from my GP and opted to have the investigation conducted without sedation due to the fact I drive regularly with my job.

Never had an endoscopy before, so was slightly anxious to begin with - but my mind was put at ease by the nurse I initially saw.

When it came time to have the treatment, the endoscopist and her team were friendly and kept me at ease throughout. We even managed to have a joke or two!

The staff really made me feel at ease from start till finish and through controlled breathing I got through the procedure effortlessly.

Your team there are an absolute credit to the hospital.
