"Care for the heart from the hospital staff who..."

About: Glenfield Hospital

Elective triple bypass surgery.

I was admitted onto Ward 34 on Sunday 27 September 2015. On the afternoon of 28 September I had a CABG * 3 (endoscopic vein harvest) and by the morning of 29th found I was able to sit up in the bedside chair. As my recovery progressed I was moved from ICU to Ward 31 and then Ward 34. I found that over the next few days I could stand, walk along the corridors and even go down then back up the stairs. On 3 October 2015 I was discharged from the hospital and returned home.

I found everyone involved with my care and recoverey to be very helpful, supportive and at all times friendly. I really do thank all of the hospital staff so very very much for how wonderfully I was treated during my stay.
