"Walk-in Centre"

I visited the walk-in centre for a minor injury caused by a dog bite. I was 22 weeks pregnant at the time and mentioned that at the desk. They advised me I would be seen by the doctor rather than nurse. After waiting for 2 hours I was called in by the nurse who then obviously sent me back out to wait as the message didn't get sent through that I was pregnant and had to be seen by a doctor. When I finally did get seen I was very taken aback by something the doctor had said to me regarding the loss of our daughter in January. I couldn't say anything at the time because it took a while to actually sink in but it was very hurtful and I still think about it several days after my visit. I didn't expect a professional from that background to make comments like this especially after having told me they had children. All I wanted is to receive the treatment for my injured finger and not be given so called "advice" or pretend sympathy from someone who clearly doesn't understand what I am going through. A simple "I am very sorry for your loss" would have been more than sufficient.
