"Should not have to pay postage for a feedback form"

About: Practice Plus South East London Doctors' Cooperative (SELDOC) Ltd

(as the patient),

I called 111 when I had a sudden bleed when passing water and thought I should check it out as I had cancer a while ago and felt it may be connected with that. They made a call for me to be seen at the 24 hour GP service at St Hellier hospital, this was fine – they made a couple of appointments for me at the hospital for further investigation.

All of that was fine, however, what irks me is that I received a feedback form from the 111 service and had to pay £1. 54 excess postage.

It is with great regret that we received some complaints regarding an issue with a company franking machine misprinting the postage label for a short period. This error occurred on envelopes we had sent to patients requesting feedback on the service they had received from 111. As soon as we became aware of the issue, we have had the faulty equipment corrected.

We have formally written to anyone that has advised us that they had received the misprinted post and compensated them for any costs incurred.

We would like to further apologise for any inconvenience caused.
