"CT scan."

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I attended Medway for a bladder cystoscopy early last month. The consultant then made a written recommendation for a follow up CT scan. The appointment staff were notified that I could not be available for around a month and I understood that an appointment date would be sent by post in my absence. As no letter was received I attended the CT department to seek a date. I was advised that I had not been listed for an appointment and that no further appointments were being made at present as " the machine was not functioning". Have no idea of a future waiting time.

Update posted by Fortina (the patient)

I did provide specific details of dates, discussion at reception and reasons for my cystoscopy in my original story but this was not reflected in the published version. More about my concerns was provided in response to a subsequent telephone enquiry from the hospital. Beyond that there is little more that I can say except that it would be helpful to have at least some idea when I might be offered an appointment.
