"Mum's visit to Western General Hospital"

About: Western General Hospital / General Surgery

(as a relative),

Mum had a colonoscopy at WGH. I am a non clinical nurse and explained I wanted to be with Mum for results and that also wanted them to be aware Mum had had bloods done at GP. They offered to get blood results for us. They phoned me as arranged and we met with the nurse for the results which were all fully explained (including the bloods). From Mums admission we were treated as individuals by friendly and professional staff. These included the lovely man on the admission desk the lovely nurse who had a fantastic rapport with Mum; patient, kind, fully and respectful. Finally I think Sandra who explained Mums results did so with a great manner allowing Mum and I to ask questions and making us feel valued and that there was no rush.

Hi there

Thanks you taking the time to feedback on the experiences you and your mother had during her procedure at the Western General Hospital. We are really pleased that the communication you and your mother received were professional, helpful and empathetic. This is the standard of nursing care we aim to achieve all the time.

We are really grateful to you for taking the time to feed back such a positive story. The staff are very pleased to receive such feedback.

Kind regards

Jeannette Morrison
