"Amazing experience"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

I gave birth to my daughter on 6/9/15 and was so pleased with my time in the hospital. I was induced and prior to arriving was very anxious about being on my own during night before giving birth the next day. However husband was able to stay overnight both nights (before labour started and after birth of baby). Induction process was explained well by midwife and student midwife, had lots of monitoring as baby's heart rate was higher than should have been but was not worried as midwives and doctors were constantly checking the progress.

When I was transferred to delivery suite the next morning with painful contractions everything was explained including all pain relief options, again midwives checking very often on baby. Baby was born naturally and was The best day ever. Husband thinks I'm crazy when i keep saying I miss labour but honestly because of the midwives at SRH the whole long experience was such a good one!! We were out quickly after all checks on baby were clear so we were able to rest at home. Thank you so much to all staff! :)
