"Brilliant care on Fotherby Ward"

About: County Hospital Louth / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I went into Louth hospital for a total knee replacement. I had never had major surgery & reports of dirty wards, uncaring nurses & bad food in the nhs compounded my fears, I was afraid.

But Fotherby ward was spick and span, the nursing staff put me at ease & could not do enough {it brought me to tears their kindness}. The food was well presented, hot appealing & tasty.

My Stay here could not have been better in a 5 star hotel.

Absolutely delighted, well done to all concerned.

Response from United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust

Dear Skeggy-dave,

Thank you for your kind words, which I have shared with my team. It is always fantastic to know that we have been able to make your experience a pleasurable one, other than the operation of course, and that we have in some way made a difference to your impression of our hospitals and the staff who work in them.

I do hope that if you are unfortunate to need further surgery we will have the pleasure of caring for you again.

Best regards,

Annetta Fisher - Sister, Fotherby Ward
