"MRI scan for ears"

About: Tameside General Hospital

I attended the outpatients X Ray for an MRI scan on my ears on 1/10/15. I am very claustrophobic and was very anxious about the procedure. The staff there were absolutely wonderful. Patient, kind and attentive. They showed me how the machine worked, reassured me about the timescales and how quickly they could get me out if I panicked. I was still anxious so the young nurse/assistant stayed in with me and held my hand and they both kept talking throughout the procedure explaining what was happening and how much longer it was going to take. If I'm honest it was a long five minutes but I did it and it was entirely thanks to your staff. Thank you.

Thank you very much for your feedback. The team endeavor to make all procedures as bearable as possible and recognition of this from our patients is more than welcome.

Your feedback has been passed to the x-ray team.
