"SAU an ED"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

a months ago I went to ED department with a strog pain in the righ side if abdomen, the pain was the most excruciating pain I ever had in my live...After waitting for a period that I felt to long as such in a horrible pain I was seen by a doctor who said I would be given some pain killers ASAP. A long waiting again...and as I couldn't stand the apin anymore I pressed the call bell for some assistance, a nurse came and don't even looked at me, just turno the call bell off and asked me "what do you want?" and explainned that I was in really bad pain and needed the pain killers as soon as possible but they didn't came...after a while I pressed the bell agaian and it was a csw that came and I requested again the pain killers so finally there was a sister with some pain killers. went to x-ray and then transfered to SAU around 9pm. i sat on the chair and wait to be seen, the pain started again. A nurse came and told me if I wanted to go to a trolley to get more confortable and I did. after that, nobody else came to see me or event ask if I was okey...I kept dragging myself to the corridor nearly in my knees with a bad pain asking for some more pain killers but was only late in the night I was given some. some patients came after me and all were seen by doctor before me, I was completly ignored during hours. At 3 am finally a doctor came and the sister told me that they got a bed for me to spend the rest of the night to a/w until morning to have a scan. I felt completly ignored and left all along! since 4 pm in the hospital I had nothing to drink or to eat until 3am, no word of confort or any concern about my person! That was certainly the worst night I ever had as I never had such a similar pain!I was discharged home to wai for a more specific scan on my kidneys, urethers and bladder (that I am still a/w) with no discharge letter or information about my situation, 2 days after I was developing a UTI and went to GP that gave some abx and only after that eased the pain, but the problem in the kidney ramains an I am still a/w to heard from the hospital appt for teh scan!
