I am angry and I am out raged that I was simply dismissed and told to come back for days later after attending the Early Pregnancy Unit with pain on my left side and tenderness to the pelvis area to check on the scan whether or not the pregnancy I was having was a viable pregnancy as per advice from A&E. The nurse was unconcerned and extremely dismissive of me and my very much wanted pregnancy advising that i was early into my pregnancy to scan. I had to attend another hospital's early pregnancy Unit the following day with the same symptoms and was told after an internal scan at 5 weeks and 2 days that I was having an Ectopic pregnancy and needed emergency surgery and was admitted that day. This hospital put my life and any future pregnancies I could potentially have at risk and due to this I do advise anyone who is pregnant and not satisfied with the service they receive at this hospital to seek a second opinion.
"I was allowed to leave CUH with an Ectopic..."
