I am writing this review in relation to the care received at the Antenatal Clinic at RSH - I have not yet given birth and so the review is not relevant to the maternity ward / delivery etc.
I am now 34 weeks pregnant and have been seen at the AN clinic due to being under consultant led care (small placental problem). The care that I have received has been first rate. Yes, there is often a bit of a wait at clinic but this is understandable as they are busy. The midwives that I have met there have been really lovely - caring and reassuring faces in a clinical setting. Despite the heavy workload they give the impression that they really do care for your well being.
Both consultants that I dealt with were excellent and clearly experts in their field. I felt very reassured by the level of care received and appreciated the fact that they treated me as an intelligent adult - listening to my views and explaining my care thoroughly.
Based on my experiences to date I can thoroughly recommend the care from the antenatal clinic at RSH.
"Great consultant led care"
