I've been to the William Harvey a fair few times because it's my local hospital and therefore it's easy for me to get to.
The first few times I went, it was just for blood tests and the ladies that took the blood were lovely - so no complaints there.
However, I became very ill mentally a few years later. Due to my mental illness taking over my life, I ended up in hospital a lot because of self harm and suicide attempts. There was only one occasion that I was actually treated with respect! Every other time I've been, people have moved me from bed to bed and then the doctors haven't been able to find me. There is very little staff contact! Then when I had to be admitted to a psych unit, the staff got very angry with my mum when she was asking questions about where I was going or what the unit was like - it was a sensitive subject and they would shout at my mum!
Lastly, I was there a while ago for a blood test after taking a small overdose. I was sat in a cubicle-thing in front of two patients who had been left in the middle of the ward! One of which was an elderly man. He needed the loo and he was simply asking for someone to take him. Loads of staff walked past and ignored him. Finally someone came up to him, but instead of helping him, shouted at him to shut up!
Sorry for the long post, but this hospital angers me so much! Thanks for reading :)
