"The majority of the nursing and ..."

About: Trafford General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The majority of the nursing and medical staff were friendly, helpfull, respected dignity and spoke to you in a respectful manor as you would expect as an adult. The ward was clean and well maintained. The breakfast, lunchtime meals and supper deserts were nutritious, well prepared very good.

What could be improved

The supper menu was always the same soup, a salad or sandwich or jacket potato, in fact the only thing to look forward to was the delicious deserts.

Anything else?

As I have already stated the majority of the nursing and medical staff were fantastic but they were let down by a few members of staff that I felt bullied by. I was a hospital inpatient for over five weeks and began to dread days when certain staff were working especially if in charge of the bay I was in..

The very first time i met my consultant he seemed affronted that i had asked him a question was arrogent, rude and insulting, failed to respect my dignity, as I was in the middle of washing at the time and was only covered by a small hospital towel.he was unable to give a simple explanation about why my condition did not appear to be improving. this answer was provided in a clear and concise manor half an hour later by the physiotherapist who visited me on the ward. I may have just caught him on a bad day because his bedside manor improved on further meetings
