"colonoscopy"

About: Fairfield General Hospital

I was booked in for a colonoscopy a couple of days ago. I was very anxious as l had had a painful experience last time ellsewhere. This was also my first colonoscopy after a bowel resection for cancer so this had added to my stress. From the receptionist through to the nurses and doctors, the friendliness and care shown throughout my stay was excellent. Being able to talk through everything beforehand with both nurses and the doctor performing the procedure made a huge diffetence. This colonoscopy was the nearest to being pain free l have ever experienced. The unit was spotless and l enjoyed tea, toast and a chat afterwards. Absolutely superb!Thank you.
