"Treatment in A and E"

Whilst visiting family I had to attend A and

E at Whipps Cross after injuring my ankle. The speed of the booking in system, caring approach of the staff I encountered and professional way I was fully informed about my injury was exemplary.

Although initially it seemed I had damage only to ligaments and soft tissue my x rays were reviewed and I was contacted a couple of days later by a consultant who had identified a small acute fracture in the ankle. After a very thorough discussion he immediately e mailed me a very comprehensive summary letter to take to my local NHS Trust to ensure I received treatment in a fracture clinic. My local NHS Trust agreed with the findings and were quick to agree that it was a fracture that could easily have been missed with potentially serious consequences.
