"12 year old in extreme pain"

About: Princess Royal University Hospital (Orpington)

All the time my son was in the children's unit I was made aware several times there are no beds in children ward available went home late with son in pain to come back early morning to have a scan only to be told scan 5 hours later and that if busy my son in pain would have to sit in the waiting area, the scan showed nothing and a rather abrupt rude surgeon said my son could go home, my son was still in alot of pain and I was made to feel I was wasting there time, after calling my mother I decided to take my son still in considerable pain to the Queen Elizabeth in woolwich, had a completely different experience he was given adequate pain relief and put in a bed on a ward within hours and the end result his appendix removed they treated my son fantastic from start to finish, when your 12 year old is in pain and your desperately worried the last thing you need to continually be told is there are no beds and they are very busy really made us feel like we were wasting there time.
