"Wife's early onset dementia"

About: Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust NHS England London

(as a relative),

The young dementia patient seem to be a subgroup not recognised politically, managerially or even clinically (in general). Limited expertise even by professionals in most departments. Fragmented services between Primary care, secondary care, specialist clinicians, dementia clinicians, emergency services, nurse support services etc.

Initial Admiral Nurse was disappointing but latest specialist nurse very supportive. Due to financial pressures, continuity not maintained, with discharge from Dementia specialist (under care of the elderly) to specialist nurse to primary care. My wife has had 5 different GPs responsible for her care while in residential care!
