"Review of maternity unit"

I gave birth to my baby daughter (July 2015) in the Consultant Led Mat Unit and I couldn't have asked for better care! The midwife that took care of us was absolutely fantastic. They were incredibly supportive, listened to our wishes, explained everything to us properly and ensured my baby was born safely. The other staff that took care of us on the CLU were also brilliant. The room was spotless when we arrived and the facilities were great. I was given plenty of time to recover in my own room after birth. The wards (where I was moved to overnight after giving birth) weren't quite as homely or clean as CLU but the night staff took good care of us. I spent a lot of time at the Lister during my pregnancy in the Day Assessment Unit and the midwives were also brilliant there. I couldn't recommend Lister maternity services enough.
