"A&E diagnosis was rushed and ended being wrong"
About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill) King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill) London SE5 9RS
I came into the A&E with a problem as a foreign object was stuck in my eye. I could feel it in there and have monitored it closely for 22 hours knowing that it hasnt come out. After waiting for 2 hours I was finally seen to but the doctor/nurse was obviously rushed. They rushed me in, looked into my eye a little and used a staining liquid to check. They did not believe me in the least when I said it is still in there. They convinced me it was out and I just need treatment to heal the scratch in my eye. Ten hours later at home I looked into my eye again which was now even more swollen and in pain - and finally saw the object and pulled it out myself. They not only misdiagnosed the situation they also failed to actually fix the problem and remove the object from my eye.
