I had an appointment which I had booked weeks in advance and then I was contacted on the day of the appointment to be told that the GP was unavailable and the surgery could not offer me another appointment. I was also told that I did not need any follow up for my recent blood test but it turned out that only some of the required tests had been done.
The receptionist did arrange for a doctor to ring me back and they then told me they would leave a new blood test form at reception and also contraception information. I called at the surgery the following day to find no information or forms had been left. There was a queue of people all complaining about things being missing that they were supposed to collect, missing prescriptions etc.
The self check in was not working-as happens so often, people were very late going in for appointments, the information going round on the screen is out of date, badly spelt, poor grammar and the website is rarely up to date. Reception staff seem unable to cope and have no idea what doctors are doing to keep patients informed.
