We would lilke to express our sincere thanks to the members of staff who cared for our son when he was admitted to DVH on 9th September after a moped accident - he ended up with an emergency laparotomy and splenectomy.

Pre and post-Op, the Consultant and their team kept us informed throughout and then the team in Cherry Ward took over and took great care of him, keeping us informed at every visit on his progress. One member of staff even spoke with me on the telephone after discharge and was very helpful in answering questions I had regarding his medication and admission form.

Our son is doing well, had his dressings removed last week and is now only taking minimal pain relief, if at all.

Once again, many thanks to all those concerned, we're very grateful and very appreciative of all that you did and all that you do.

Thank you for this glowing review of Cherry Ward and the surgical team. Reading such kind words is always a moral boost to all of the staff who have been sent a copy of your comments. It was lovely to read that your son is now much better and only needing minimal pain relief, hopefully soon he will none at all.
