"I would not recommend giving birth at this..."

I cannot fully express how disappointed my husband and I were after the awful experience of giving birth at the Royal London.

The hospital is so under staffed it felt like we would of been better doing it ourselves at home! The staff were clearly under pressure so we're very rude, unprofessional and left a lot to be desired when it came to their bedside manner. i barely saw my midwife during the labour as they kept leaving the room, they didn't believe I was in labour so wouldn't give me pain relief only to then examine me and I was fully dilated. I then had to have the baby pulled out with forceps and spent 3 hours in theatre (who were all lovely and very understanding) my husband however was left on his own with the baby for 3 hours with no indication of where I was or what he should be doing. My baby was supposed to be monitored hourly as I had a strep infection which didn't happen.

When I finally made it to the ward 48 hrs later staff were using their mobile phones when taking my blood, they lost my notes for 2 days so didn't know what medication I had been taking, the toilets were dirty with dried blood on the floor, they refused to give me formula to feed the baby as I was too ill to breastfeed after a blood transfusion, I had to wait 40 hours to get blood after my blood test which then expired and had to be redone.

To be honest the list goes on. The antenatal care was great but post natal has left me traumatised the only saving grace was that my son was healthy and we got out of there.

Not only will I never have another baby there but I don't think I could ever visit the hospital again.
