What I liked
What could be improved
I was a patient as was giving birth to my daughter in June. The service was terrible. During labour the midwife did nothing but shout at me. After having my baby girl, I was made to walk from the labour ward to the maternity ward despite having severe pains in my legs and finding it difficult to walk (I didn't get checked for blood clots until the following morning despite this being at 9pm). I then went on to faint in the corridor and only then did they get me a wheelchair to help me. I slept over night due to having my daughter quite late, and I would never of guessed they would treat me like they did. I struggled to get out of bed due to the pain mentioned earlier and used the buzzer to ask for baby bottles, etc. And had "Stop using the buzzer get out of bed and come to the desk when you want something!" spat at me. I lost alot of blood and asked if someone could look at me. A midwife just said "Oh yes, you are losing alot of blood".. gave me a pad and told me to change it. I got left in filthy, bloody sheets the whole night and never even got a replacement gown. It seems to me aswell, if you arn't breastfeeding, they don't want to know you.
If I ever have children in the future, I will certainly not be using this hospital. And I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
