About: Royal Hampshire County Hospital

I have had to visit this hospital a number of times over the last week and every time I visited I was treated with care and consideration and was seen quickly. I was extremely nervous as I was presenting with injuries from a mental health issue. But I was put at ease from the moment I arrived. Every staff member I came into contact with was a credit to the hospital, and seem to genially care about my state and didn't judge me or try and tell me what I was doing was wrong. I would also like to thank one staff member in particular who made me feel comfortable enough to disclose what was going on, even when I presented with similar injuries. All the staff were willing to sit and talk things through with me, even offering me a room instead of waiting in the waiting room, which they could see was making things worse. They took care of me from the minute I arrived until I was discharged, and didn't make me feel like I was being rushed through or looked over. They helped me through a very difficult time and didn't make me feel judged. They also went out of their way to make sure that I would be getting the help I needed after I was discharged. Ever member of staff was so helpful and friendly. I really appreciate everything that was done for me, and has reassured me that if needed again I will find a safe place at this hospital.
