"A&e are shocking!"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary

I had to wait 2 hours for pain relief then after having an X-ray I had to wait another two hours until I was told I was waiting for a surgeon to come see me even tho I had been to the receptionist 3 times. I didn't get told what was happening so I had to keep asking staff which most didn't know. Myself and the doctors knew it was my gallbladder as I am waiting for surgery but they took far too long to help me out of the pain and to give me information. I was in the a&e department for 8 hours, 5 of the hours was waiting time inbetween treatments. The hospital also need to train some staff to be able to put cannulars in paitents who have difficult veins instead of trying 5 times and still not getting one in. The a&e waiting area was freezing from 10pm onwards so they could maybe look into getting some sort of heating in the waiting room.
