"scoliosis surgery"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / General surgery

(as the patient),

The surgeon was really good and the nurses were nice especially laura. and I know it was difficult when I was in surgery as I moved quite a bit and where you put my hands kept going dead and I kept pulling the Canon out my hand. the night nurses were really helpful especially when I got stuck and when I threw up I know I did not like taking the medicine, and still don't, but I know I have to. ward d34 were amazing, they helped me, I started crying because I wanted to go home as I didn't get any sleep as this person next to me was loud, it was really not nice, and also Kristy and becky the physio people were nice. I know that the day want to go home every one said I was not my normal self it was really good support thank

Thank you Kerry. I am pleased that our staff supported you when you needed it most. I’m sorry that you were kept awake at night. We do try to keep noise on the wards to a minimum at night, mindful of the disruption this causes patients who want to rest. I have shared your feedback with the team on ward D34 and our surgeons. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Best wishes,

Sarah Moppett

Clinical Lead, MSKN
