"Congenital Heart Centre - Adult Clinic"

Yesterday I took my son to the Congenital heart centre at Glenfield Hospital. This was our first visit there since he has previously been seen in the paediatric clinic at another hospital. The staff were absolutely amazing. He had managed to get his theory driving test time muddled up and although the appointment should have lasted around 2 hours we needed to leave within one and a quarter hours to get him to his test on time. He explained this to the receptionist who was lovely. They made a note of it on the front of his records and went and spoke to nurses and the consultant about it. He was taken through for all his diagnostics as soon as they were free and we only waited a few minutes before the consultant called us. All the staff he saw asked him about his theory test and wished him luck. They were genuinely concerned about increasing his anxiety levels and did everything they could to speed up the process and put him at ease. I was so impressed and so was he!
