"A&E Visit Surprisingly Swift!"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary

A&Es often gets a bad rep and I've been on the end of a few several hour visits in my time, but today was a different story, a nice surprise, so credit where its due. I visited DRI's A&E department this morning with a suspected broken finger. I had seen the triage nurse in 5 minutes the doctor in 15 minutes and sent for an x-ray within 25 minutes, after review I was in and out in 40 minutes total no break just soft tissue and ligament damage.

The timing of my visit would of helped (7am) and I wouldn't want to give false hope to anyone who's expecting a flying visit, but it was a nice surprise. So a big well done to all the team at DRI both A&E and X-ray.

Its not doom and gloom all the time!
