"I was pleased that although I ..."

About: Furness General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was pleased that although I had to have a general anaesthetic in the afternoon, I only had to stop drinking water at 10.30 am which made me feel much better than being completely dehydrated.

I was lucky to have my own room and all the staff on the FGH Day Unit were lovely. The registrar visited me prior to my operation and explained the procedure and all the effects it would have. The anaesthetist also visited me and I felt very reassured.

What could be improved

Nothing for me

Anything else?

I know that I was lucky to have my own room as if I have to go to hospital I like my privacy and do not want to meet other patients!!

Thank you for your kind comments. We will endeavour to pass on your message to the relevant Matron, Ward Manager or Head of Department.

We place great value in the fact that local people continue to choose our hospitals and we openly encourage patients and visitors to give us their feedback. This will enable us to continually to improve the services we offer and the experience our patients have whilst in our hospitals.
