I have used your out of hours service a couple of times due to reoccurring cases of pelvic inflammatory disease. The doctor that dealt with me told me that they would refer me to gynaecology due to how serious my first case was and due to a history of problems happening around that subject. I have been waiting for my referral to come through so I can finally get down to the underlying condition, I have been told that there is a high chance of infertility because of my pelvic inflammatory disease and a previous miscarriage, which to me is important which I would hope doctors in your area would be worried about in a young girl. Infertility is not to be taken seriously, and through no fault of my own, my case has been left to worsen, and the damage being done to my fallopian tubes could be getting worse leading to my infertility, which if my case would have been taken seriously could have been prevented by being seen by this department sooner and having the correct treatment as it is clear 4 courses of the same anti biotics has not seem to have done. I am 18 years of age (17 when i fell ill) for my case to be left to get worse and me to be possibly be left infertile is disgusting, I hope that this issue raised will be taken seriously or I will take matters into my own hands and go to a higher authority.
